DBA Feedback

After the presentation the panel gave us feedback on the solution & the visuals. I think that they was really positive about our work and they seemed to really enjoy looking at our work as they kept telling us to go through it and go back to certain points. They seemed to be very impressed with the photoshop skills and the high level throughout the project, all the applications was relevant and innovative.

They was really impressed with us applying it to other transport methods and how we applied it throughout the city as we wanted the brand to always be present, and everyone to be reminded that they are being united through Capital North.

They then asked us how we have got to the point, so we was telling them that we had gone on a long loop and at the begin we was struggling to come up with a concept as we was thinking more about visuals rather than the idea. Therefore we started afresh after the first workshop and decided to get a concrete concept before moving on to doing anything else.

They then asked us what made us do different colours for each city, so we explained that we wanted to make sure that each individual city had its own identity by still preserving each cities integrity, culture and identity but joined them together by keeping the same aesthetic.

They told us that the best image was of the uniforms for the crew, this is what Caitlin produced and I think really represented very well the aim we was looking for.

They did move on to suggest that we could get rid of the secondary shape from the background of the poster as it wasn't filling any purpose & that they where effective enough without it.

Overall they said that they really enjoyed our presentation and everything was clear and in a logical order. They told us our balance of image and presentation was good due to give the room to breath and take in each picture separate was very important.

Final Feedback & Winners.

After each group had done their presentations we all gathered back in the lecture theatre where they gave us feedback on the day as a whole.

They said that they had a very good day and they enjoyed the experience. They then went on to say that all groups had come up with some strong ideas, but there was one group which really stood out against the others. So then I was thinking who it could be and he announced Group 4 which was us!

This was such an amazing feeling, considering the long process we had and how we really fell out of love with this project initially.
