South View Lodge Background Research

Majority of the information I found was mainly from the website as it seemed to not have any information elsewhere. I did email the company but they never replied which I was rather disappointed about. 


One of the key things I found out is that they had to cut down a lot of the trees to be able to create the build for the lodges therefore there was only three trees surrounding the resort, apart from the trees surround resort as whole. This was interesting to myself & I was thinking this could be included in the branding to bring in some heritage.

Log Cabin Research

This is a very big chain initially I thought about rebranding them as I have visited there resort twice now but I feel that I would like to rebrand a smaller more close knit resort so the experience will be more personal.

This is one I came across, although I soon found out that they had just received a rebrand and therefore didn't want to work with this resort.

Upon looking at the lodges within this resort I found myself being uninspired so therefore decided to carry on looking.

I then came across South View Lodge, they have all been newly decorated leaving a new space for a rebrand. I like the interior design of the cabins, and the branding can be updated which would be perfect as it wouldn't make it too hard.

I carried on readin further and they was a small resort of only three lodges in which they offer lots of little personal touches in which I can apply my design to.

Redoing The Lovely Brew Co. Packaging

I reprinted the packaging for The Lovely Brew Co. again but left it in my daw and forgot about it due to the laser cutter being under maintenance for quite a while...

Therefore there is a few dirty marks on the packaging but these can be removed in photoshop after.

I have created a laser cutter file to cut out the net & the teapot at the front. I thought this would be the best option as you can't get the laser cutter to centre within the material setting you place.

I have made some adjustments to the packaging such as making the lid wider at the nape of the neck so that the sit was more fitting & not too snug!

And also I have changed the sides around so you don't get half cut off text due to the diagonal cut.

This is my final photography of them.

I am now extremely proud of them, especially because they have photographed so well I think the grey backgrounds really allows the colours to come alive & the little added touch of the cup just sets the scene for the whole shoot.
