Research for Welcome Book

Binding/Packaging

I like the idea of having a folder for the welcome book, they could then maybe take this away with them as a little solvenier of the holiday... 

I like idea of using a durable material to ensure that having to replace the welcome book repeatedly is a good idea as it is only a small company.

Using wood as the front cover and using it as a bind would be very effective and fitting for the branding as I am planning on using log for other aspects of the branding.

The idea of having paper overlaid on a piece of wood would be a clever idea, although I don't think this would benefit the resort in the long run either.

This is the a very creative idea, I love the use of using the twig for binding but I can see this effecting the opening of the book and therefore this would not serve its purpose.





Layout

I like the idea that the layout would include interactive items so that it gets them involved & more interested in the boring information manual.

I like the idea of having a welcome page. I think this is very personal.

Using images as full bleed across one page is giving allowance for the beautiful views.

Labelling the images is a great way of showing them places they can visit as this will maybe give them more of an insight or a push to make their holiday more exciting.

I like the simple layout of this folder, keeping the information miminal.

Using the tabs so people can go straight to the part the are wanting to know about is quite crucial after looking at a few welcome books I suppose its so they don't have to read everything when trying to find info mis holiday when you are thinking of going somewhere.
