Development

I thought that this would have been the best quote to chose as this is about people feeling guilt for wasting there time when in actual fact it could be a good time waster. I would out real clocks all at different time frames from different parts of the world. And the type would be in wood. This would all be aligned through justification.

Then I thought about having the clocks as part of the words by using them as O. So I put the quote all in caps and then found clocks that looked vintage online (just to mock-up, as real clocks will be used). Although, the more i work on it, the more I think that this might not be the right message to put on the wall as some people will take it more literally.

Then I started working on my next favourite quote. This is the hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard. This goes to show that when you are on this course you can't just get by, by being brainy and not having to revise you have to work hard to get results and finish things off fully which takes a lot of hard work & determination.

This is me developing the work BEAT as they was all hand developed type.I wanted to make sure all the strokes were the same so therefore used the guides on illustrator.

This is the final outcome, I am happy with this & I think the neon orange acrylic & wood will really make it stand out and look smart against the white wall.

This is the beginning of the welcome sign, I have took inspiration from a circular sign I found when doing my research. I like the mixture of block typeface & the hand scripted fonts.
This is the rough sketch of my sign, I would also put design within the circle. But I don't have time to develop it too much as I need to make my presentation.

This is my final step I am going to take for the mock-up of the wall, you can see the aim of the wall and therefore I don't think I would do anymore. I would have liked to mock up on the wall how it would have looked like but my photoshop skills are not up to scratch and I believe this would take a long time.

Maybe if I have some free time I will expand the brief to see how this would actually work, I would like to make this even if I didn't win the pitch as I think it would be exciting and interesting skills to learn from it.
